Mrs. Velta Shankles
March 15, 1933 — August 10, 2008
Velta Ann Shankles, age 75, resident of Grandview, MO, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2008 at her home.
Velta was a very active member of the Grandview Church of the Nazarene for over 30 years. Her special joy in life was being wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She also enjoyed gardening, volleyball and family life. Velta was one of 13 children and will be greatly missed by many.
Velta is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Mandy Sorbet, her son Michael and grandson Dennis. She is survived by her devoted husband Troy Sr. of the home; 6 children Debbie Spencer and husband John, Greg Shankles, Jeffery Shankles and wife Kate, Troy Shankles Jr., Byron Shankles and Stacy Noboa and husband Ramiro; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
