Mr. Theodore Parker

Theodore Finley Parker, 81, died January 5, 2012 in Lee's Summit, MO. Born December 7, 1930 in Altus, OK, he was the son of Theodore and Loreda Parker and was the oldest of their three sons. He attended the University of Oklahoma, where he received his degree in Journalism and Public Relations.
In 1956 he married Virginia Ervin of Hickman Mills (south Kansas City, MO) and they were happily married for 55 years. They lived much of their life in New York City, NY. He is remembered for his musical talent and was an avid tennis player, loved meeting people and studying languages.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Mabry N. Parker. He is survived by his wife Virginia Ervin Parker of Lee's Summit, MO, a brother Robert Z Parker (Brenda) of Lawton, OK, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A graveside service will be held Monday, January 9 at 2:30 PM at the Noland Cemetery, 9800 Lane, Kansas City, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
