Terrice Singleton

Terrice Lynn Singleton was born May 1, 1960. She was the 7th child born to Mattie Mae Washington and Emanuel Rambo in Kansas City, Missouri. Her brother Charles Edward Rambo, proceeded her in death.

Terrice, affectionately known as “Terrie” and “Antie”, was educated in the Kansas City school district, and graduated from Ruskin High School Class of 1979.

On June 25, 1988 she joined in marriage to the love of her life Andre’ Singleton. To this union they were blessed with five wonderful children, Tierra, Coriana, Brianna, Ian, Donald, and one grandson, Brian. She worked dutifully as a homemaker for the duration of her life. She was a mother to many. She took in any child in need and was a babysitter to all.

Terrie was an innovator with a creative flare for style. Her family and friends would called upon her to be a designer, hairstylist, florist, shoe designer, mask creator, and Braid Queen. She would find a way to make anything you could imagine, and even after she took ill she created her now famous, Hat Hair.

She was baptized at the Truelove Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of her father, Pastor Emanuel Rambo. She served faithfully at Truelove for many years where she was the Choir Director and passionately led many songs. I Just Can’t Tell It All, Come and Go With Me, Thank you Lord, and who could forget the 23rd Psalms.
Terrie later joined the Christian Fellowship Baptist Church, under the
Pastorial direction of Stan Archie. Where she was a Sunday School Teacher.

Terrie never met a stranger and was loved by all. She will be greatly missed.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband Andre’ Singleton, three daughters, Tierra Pickens (Brian); Coriana Singleton, Breanna Singleton all of Lee’s Summit, MO; two sons, Ian and Donald Singleton, of Lee’s Summit, MO, her parents Mattie M. and Arthur N. Washington and Emanuel and Doris Rambo, all of Kansas City, MO
Seven sisters, Jeanetter Wallace, Joann Hughes (Timothy), Sharon Ersery (Anthony), Brenda Green, Patricia Gadson (Maurice), Lora Johnson (Jeffrey), Catrina Hooker (Donnie) all of Kansas City, MO; three brothers Willie Jean Rambo (Brenda) of St. Louis, MO, Stevie Rambo of Kansas City, MO and Samyel Ward (Ja’nice) of Lee’s Summit, MO; six step-sisters and 3 step-brothers. One Grandson Brian D’Andre Pickens, of Lee’s Summit, MO & a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who love her dearly.
