Tammy Foster

Tammy Foster, born Tammy Cooper on January 21st, 1963, in Kansas City, Missouri, left this world on October 10th, 2024. She came from a large family of ten brothers and sisters. She was 61 years old at the time of passing, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and creativity.

Known for her short but mighty presence, Tammy was a beacon of kindness and fun, always equipped with a great sense of humor. Her home is an ever-changing tapestry of crafts and decorations, reflecting her vibrant personality and love for creating. Tammy was well known for her cooking/baking, and her family remarked that she was ready to feed a small army at every gathering and holiday. Her friends and family even gave her the nickname 'hostess with the mostess' because of her love to entertain, feed, and spend time with her loved ones.

Tammy cherished her role as a mother and grandmother, dedicating much of her love to her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her loving fiancée, Mike Chapman, and her children: Melissa Abernathy (David), Dana Moore (Tim), Jamie Turner, Ashley Turner (Brannon), KayLynn Wilson (Brandon), and Eric Chapman. Additionally, she leaves behind her treasured grandchildren, Nathan Griffin (Jo), Ashyln Randall-Brady (Maddie), Ava Sullivan (Ethan), Maddox Moore, Levi Moore, Alivia Sullivan, Brody Sullivan, Liam Abernathy, Xavier Wilson, and Braylen Wilson. 

Tammy leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and everyone who knew her. A memorial service to honor Tammy’s life will be held on October 19, 2024, from 2:00 PM at Longview Funeral Home, located at 12700 SE Raytown Rd, Kansas City, MO 64149.
