Russell Levi Corum, age 50, Grandview, MO passed away June 16, 2014. A visitation service will be Sunday, June 22, 2014 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. with Funeral service immediately following at Longview Funeral Home and Cemetery, 12700 S. Raytown Rd., Kansas City, MO., with cremation to follow. Russell was born to Lee Roy and Shirley M. Corum on October 28, 1963 in Butler, MO., moving to the Kansas City area early in life, graduating from Ruskin High School. Russell worked many years in the Kansas City area as a Union Pipefitter for Local # 533. He was a Born Again Christian.
Russell is survived by his wife, Debra D. Corum, his brother, Larry L. Corum; nieces Melissa Corlew, Angel K. and Rona’e Brummett, Cassandra Aspey, Melanie Corum; nephews Daniel Corum, Jesse Corum, Dean Smith, and Patrick Brummett; spiritual advisor Richard Corum and numerous great-nieces and nephews. Russell was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Garry L. and Michael A. Corum.
He will be greatly missed by family, friends, Union brothers and devoted canine companions Jack and Ruby and the mean old cat Katy. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Russell’s name may be made to a charity of your choice.
