RONALD A. BROWNLEE
DEVOTED SON, BROTHER, FATHER, FRIEND, AND HERO
APRIL 18, 1960 - NOVEMBER 26, 2022
Ronald Allen Brownlee, best known as “Ronnie” by loved ones, unexpectedly departed this life on November 26, 2022, at the age of 62. Ron was born to James Brownlee and Janette Lueb in Kansas City, Missouri on April 18, 1960. He Grew up in Martin City attending Grandview High School and graduating in 1978.
He began working for Jackson County Public Water Supply District No. 1 in Grandview, Missouri right out of high school. Ron Spent 30 years in the field where he was certified as a Water Operator with a Class A CDL.
Having a strong work ethic, Ronnie also found time to become an established businessman and entrepreneur. He had a great passion for the people in his community that instilled in him a desire to run for Grandview Alderman in Ward 3 (2020). During his term he advocated for those in need in the community by partnering with local businesses to provide support to the Grandview Assistance Program, Uplift, and community food pantries. As Alderman, Ron also worked with the Chamber of Commerce to secure financial assistance to Grandview businesses that were in need during the pandemic (CARES Act). He felt honored to be able to serve the Grandview community during a difficult time.
Ron married his high school sweetheart, Denise (Davila), June 4,1983. He enjoyed fishing with his daughter, Danielle, and grandkids as well as whitetail deer, pheasant, and elk hunting with his sons, Joshua, and Jared. Ron would often state that he felt closest to God outdoors being a witness to His creation along with memories of sunrises and sunsets. Ron’s appreciation for the beauty of their horns led him to amass impressive elk and deer mounts through the years. He had an unquenched thirst for the outdoors that he passed on to his children. He also had a passion for classic and muscle cars, the louder the better.
Ronnie cherished his time spent with his parents each week sharing a home cooked meal and catching up on the day. He looked forward to family gatherings whether it was spending time at the lake with his sister, Debbie, attending the grandkids sports and recitals, Sunday BBQs, or enjoying his Kansas City Chiefs football. Ronnie always rose to the occasion when a problem arose to help out family, a friend, or a complete stranger. His generous nature and helping hand were one of his best qualities that will be missed. Ronnie will always remain with us in our hearts where we treasure his kind deeds, big hugs, and love that touched countless lives.
He is survived by his parents James and Janette Brownlee; the love of his life Denise and their children Danielle Carlson (David), Joshua Brownlee (Sherry), and Jared Brownlee (Meghan). Ronnie's siblings, Karen Wallace (David) and Debbie McKeever (Alan). His grandchildren, Treston, Alex, Lucas, Leah, Gabriel, and Baby James Brownlee. Ronnie is also survived by many Uncles, Aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, brother-in laws, sister in-laws, lifelong friends, and his sweet dog, "Annie".
Services for Ronald will be at The View- 13500 Byars Road, Grandview, Mo 64030. Friday December 2, 2022, with Visitation at 3PM followed by the Celebration of Life at 5PM.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Ronald’s honor to Uplift or GAP (Grandview Assistance Program).
