Robert “Bob” K. Crane, 81, of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away on May 20, 2019.
Bob was born on September 12, 1937 in Kansas City, Missouri to William and Sylvia Crane. Bob married Hazel Aslanoglou on December 18, 1976. He owned Creative Touch Interiors in Belton and then moved the business to Pacific Grove, California. During his life, he was also a volunteer firefighter, serving in Belton and Pacific Grove areas, and was known to break records in training. After his career in business, he went to work for Pebble Beach Company, as he was an avid golfer and loved working there. Hazel and Bob moved back to the Kansas City area in 2004, where he began working as a volunteer for Vesper Senior Center and later ended up working for them in maintenance and the kitchen. Bob enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, traveling, and working with his hands building things.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Steve Crane; his step-son, Steven Reinhart; and 2 sisters, Patricia Sapp and Sylvia Jean Niermeier. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Hazel Crane; his children: Rick (Debra) Crane, Michele (Mitchell) Rice, and Regena (Jerry) Sullivan; his step-children: Paula McKeehan and Bruce Reinhart; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 30th at 11:00 am at All Saints Lutheran Church, 421 SW 19th St, Blue Springs, MO 64015.
