Richard Lee Singleton began his eternal life with his Lord and Savior on September 12, 2021. Richard was born on April 19, 1953 in Sikeston, MO, to Carl and Clevie (Lamb) Singleton. Visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Thursday September 16 at First Baptist Church Grandview, where the funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday September 17. Burial will follow at Longview Cemetery. Richard was a long time member at First Baptist Church Grandview where he served as a deacon and a Bible study teacher. He owned Richards’ Auto Salon in Grandview, MO for 32 years. He was a member of the Better Business Bureau and the NRA, and also sponsored, and played, for the Raytown Senior Softball League team. Richard enjoyed water skiing, boating, traveling, motorcycling, and antique cars, which he showed and was awarded several trophies for.
Richard is survived by his wife of 41 years, Melody Singleton, son Richard Vincent Singleton, daughter Kathryn Vinson (Gib); grandchildren, Georgia Vinson, Grant Vinson, Sophia Saviano, and Harper Saviano; and one brother, Bob (Linda) Singleton. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Carl Jr, Wayne, and Jim; and a sister, Bernita.
Richard will be remembered for his faith, love of his family, especially his grandchildren, kindness, and generous spirit.
