Raphael "Dolly" Smith

Raphael Smith, affectionately known as "Dolly," passed away on August 18, 2024, at the age of 92. Born on April 20, 1932, in Kansas City, Missouri, Dolly was a dedicated homemaker who exemplified warmth and creativity in her life.

She is survived by her two sons, Nick Smith (Vickie) and Derek Smith, along with her grandson, Nicholas Ryan Smith, and granddaughter Courtney Pendergraft (Calvin). Dolly also leaves behind her brother, Jack Lombardo, as well as her niece, Chrissy Lombardo, and niece, Patty Lombardo.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Manly R. Smith (Bob), and her mother, Rose Davis.

Dolly's nurturing spirit extended beyond her family; she was known for her love of arts and crafts, her family fondly remembers how every piece of clothing had paint on it. She was also known for her passion for music, especially playing the piano, and her skillful cooking. Her vibrant personality and devotion to her family and friends will be cherished in the memories of all who knew her.

A visitation will take place on August 26, 2024, starting at 1:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at Longview Funeral Home, located at 12700 SE Raytown Rd, Kansas City, MO 64149.
