Paul E. Smith 81, of Galt, Mo., died Thursday, June 4, 2009 at Sunnyview Nursing Home, Trenton, Mo. Funeral services will be held 2p.m. Monday, June 8 at Newcomer’s Longview Funeral Home and Cemetery, with burial immediately following at Longview Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 12-2p.m. at the chapel.
Mr. Smith was a retired truck driver for Jack Cooper Transportation for over 30 years. He was a veteran of the Armed Forces.
Preceded in death by two wives: first, Gaila June (Carver) and second, Phyllis Morgan, his parents Willie Lee & Beulah Erma (Milner) Smith, brothers Wood Dean (Sam),
John William, Jack Bernard, Ralph Ray (Pete) & sister Anna Mae (Blomgren), nephews Michael Lee Smith & Kenneth Edward Tipton & great nephew William Wood Magie. He is survived by sisters Erma Lee Tipton of Unionville, Mo. & Thelma LaDean Street of Des Moines, Ia. and many loving nieces and nephews.
