After many years of fighting the good fight, Patty Knox passed away at her home in Belton, Missouri on November 18, 2017. She was the wife of Jerry Knox. They were blessed to share 7 years of marriage together.
Family meant absolutely everything to Patty. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of so many: her son Tobey Smith and significant other Nicolas Jeannin; her son Matt Smith and wife Kim Smith; her stepsons Levi Knox, Kalen Knox & Jaimie Knox; her brother Terry Loos; her nieces Dawneen Benedetto & Debe Ostdiek; and most importantly her beloved grandchildren: Hunter, Gage, Autumn, Aaron, Cami, Hunter, and Marshall.
When Patty met Jerry her life had finally become fulfilled. They were married on September 26, 2010. Their love grew deeper the following year when Patty’s uphill battle with cancer began. Jerry stood by her side through every single scary step along the way. Their love shined through all of the pain. Patty knew she was blessed to have such a pillar of support.
Patty had many passions in life. Her love for dragonflies reflected her free spirit. One of her greatest pleasures was riding her bike with Jerry. Anyone who knew Patty knew her love for motorcycles. She worked for Gail’s Harley Davidson for many years. But what she enjoyed most was the freedom she felt when on the open road, especially next to her best friend Jerry.
Patty had the type of kind spirit that is hard to come by these days. Her influence will forever remain in the lives of so many people she impacted. Patty’s favorite quote was, “dream as if you will live forever; live as if you’ll die today.” Please remember to live by these same words. We will forever love and cherish you Patty Knox.
