Patricia Diane Gillespie-Hall, 59, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2012, at her home in Overland Park, KS. She was born in Kansas City on August 25, 1953, at Saint Joseph's hospital. Patty was a 1971 graduate of Southwest High School and attended the University of Missouri - Kansas City.
Patty was an Executive Assistant, and Office Manager in a variety of professional firms, including Gould & Moore PC, Tippins Restaurants, and the Ron L. Hall law firm. Patty performed tax preparation duties under the direction of Taschler and Associates Inc, CPAs of Merriam, KS for several decades. Patty's knowledge, experience, and dedication were essential to Ron's law practice. Patty also enjoyed working in the hospitality field. She performed duties that ranged from food service to restaurant management at locations that included Milburn Country Club, and O'Leary's.
Patty and her husband Ron Hall, who survives at their home, were a couple for more than 26 years. Together, they had a household full of love, shared with many four-legged friends. Favorites that Patty always talked about include Lancelot, Senna, Ginny, Travis, Tony Stewart, Bobby, Baby Blue, Ricky, Jamie, Amy, Widdle-Whatt, Milton, and many others, who benefitted from her kindness and loving care.
Patty was the daughter of Marion L and Betty L Gillespie, Kansas City, who survive. Surviving family members include brother Michael James Gillespie, Kansas City; brother and sister-in-law Kelly and Diane Gillespie, Jefferson City; sisters-in-law K.C Campion, Danville, CA; Donna J. Holmes, Bucyrus, KS; and Karen Battenschlag, Sandpoint, Idaho; and Robert L. Hall, a surviving father-in-law in Sandpoint. Patty was so proud and devoted to the academic and life successes of her's and Ronnie's nieces and nephews including: Sarah Patricia Gillespie, Jefferson City, MO; Nicole R. LaVoie, Champaign, IL; and Corey J. Campion, Washington, DC.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the American Heart Association, St. Luke's South Rehab Center, Rolling Acres Memorial Gardens for Pets, or your local animal shelter.
A family and friends memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
