Patricia ?Sue? Faros age 77, passed away on November 14, 2007 at St Luke?s Hospital.
Sue was born July 17, 1930 to Francis D. and Emma B. Woodfill in Nevada, MO, where she lived her entire childhood. She was married February 1, 1951 to George C. Faros, also of Nevada. The couple had two children, D.
Christopher Faros and S. Cathleen Faros.
Sue was employed by the Missouri State Department of Education for 31 years, serving both as a classroom teacher and Principal of Lakeview Woods State School. After her retirement in July 1990, she and her husband volunteered at Truman Medical Center Lakewood for 11 years. Together, they managed the gift shop, each earning more than 7,000 volunteer hours.
She was a life member of the Truman Medical Center Lakewood Auxiliary and a member of Raymore Christian Church. In 1996, they moved to the Morningview Community in Raymore, MO, where she enjoyed her many friends and neighbors. She loved to cook, read, knit and spoil her great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George, and her son, Chris. She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Faros of Arcadia, KS, five grandchildren, Teresa Stewart and Mike, Oak Grove, MO., Brian Faros and Monique, Leawood, KS, David Eaton and Charity, Oak Grove, Jill Fawcett and Justin, Dallas, TX, Angie Faros, Dallas TX, and 7 great-grandchildren, Clynton and Brayson Stewart, Carson Faros, Adelaide, Audrie, Andrea Eaton, and Ashlyn Fawcett.
