Norma J. Silvain

Norma J. Silvain (Reed) passed away on April 14, 2025, in Blue Springs, Missouri, at the age of 95. She was born on March 11, 1930, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Lesley and Rena Reed, who preceded her in death. Norma was a devoted wife to Phillip L. Silvain, who also preceded her in passing. Together, they shared sixty-five wonderful years — a beautiful life filled with many memorable adventures. 

Norma loved to travel, and especially cherished the twenty winters she and Phil spent on South Padre Island, where they created lasting memories. As a mother, Norma was a loving and nurturing caregiver always putting the wants and needs of her family first. She is survived by her daughters, Rena Allin (Larry) and Penny Ursino (Bob); four grandchildren, Kimberly Allin (Rob), Kyle Allin (Alli), Amber Burke (Joel), and Ashley Siebert (Chase); five great-grandchildren, Nola, Lincoln, Harlow, Oliver, and Sullivan; one niece, Theresa Schmoll; and many other loving friends and family members. 

Norma was deeply involved in her community and took great pride in her contributions. She was a devoted member of the Lake Lotawana Community Club and the Lake Lotawana Community United Methodist Church for over 60 years. Her dedication to her community and her passion for helping others were true hallmarks of her life. Her loving personality and caregiver's heart left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Norma will be fondly remembered for her warmth, her devotion to family, and the joy she brought to everyone around her. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Lake Lotawana United Methodist Church, Lake Lotawana Community Club (in support of the Memorial Rose Garden), or a charity of your choice.
