Norma Corbin

Norma Jean Corbin, 90, of Independence, Mo passed away peacefully on September 13, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 03, 1932, to the late Roy and Eula Fairchild. She was married to the love of her life, Emory T. Corbin.

Norma was a faithful member of the Country Meadows Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO for many years. She spent her life time being dedicated to raising her children in the Christian faith. She volunteered at her church and the local VFW for years. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. One of the most enjoyable memories that Norma created for her family was her love of baking. She was a spectacular cook. Noma was a devoted prayer warrior and had a deep abiding faith for Christ. She was a faithful wife and mother. Norma was a true home maker and was proud to have raised seven Christian children.

Norma is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brother: Richard Fairchild, and her grandson: Jacob Lee Martin.

She is survived by her children: Barbara (Stan) Harrington, Phyllis (Blain) Viers, Richard (Julie) Corbin, Rene (Daryl) York, Terri (Chris) Campbell, Michelle (White), and Janice (Chris) Buford; grandchildren: John, Danie’le, Christina, Terra, Emily, Reanna, Josh, Derrick, Jason, Amber, Billy, Brandy, Gavin, and Bryce; 27 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
