Noi Thomas, 79, of Grandview, MO, passed away surrounded by loved ones on October 23, 2023. She was born in Thailand in 1944 and raised by Paa and Sing Chiachote. She lived a humble life in Thailand and met the love of her life, Ed Thomas, in 1968. Shortly after, they married, and she began a new life in the United States.
Noi and Ed were married for 55 years and had two daughters, Kim, and Teresa. She worked at Peterson Manufacturing and retired in 2007. She loved going on vacations with her family and fishing in the ocean. She really enjoyed when her husband took her out dancing and visiting with friends from her homeland. Her family was her life, and she was happiest when they filled her home with laughter. She was a great cook, loved feeding everyone and when you were full, she would say, "It's time to go home now."
Noi was a strong-willed person with a zest for life. She had friends from all over the world and she cared about them deeply. She was a clever person and quick to tell a joke. She was also blunt and never afraid to speak her mind. She helped many people throughout her life and her spirit was contagious. She will live on forever in all our hearts and we will never forget her. We are truly saddened, but it is now her time to go home to the Lord.
Noi is survived by her loving husband, Ed Thomas; daughters Kim Thomas and Teresa West; four grandchildren: Alexis McNealey, Skylar Grantham, Luke Smith, and Coby Smith; and two great-grandchildren, Ava Tyson, and Aaron McNealey III.
