Mary E. Allen, 89 of Kansas City, MO. passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017.
Mary was born April 8, 1928 in Marvel, AR to Robert McClendon and Clara (Myles) McClendon.
When she moved to Kansas City in 1958, she worked as a baker at the Plaza III. She later worked at Bendix as a security guard for 20 years until she retired in 1985. After retirement, she enjoyed working as a school crossing guard. Her main hobby was fishing but her passion and joy was to go and visit and pray for the sick. She was a powerful prayer warrior who showed boldness for the Lord and would not hesitate to show kindness and offer a smile.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Georgia A. McClendon. She is survived by her children William Allen, Susan Leeper, James Allen and Anthony Allen. She also has a large extended family of grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great great- grandchildren who love her dearly.
Memorial service will be on September 16, 2017 at 11:00AM, with a visitation at 10:00AM. Service will be held at Longview Funeral Home & Cemetery, 12700 S. Raytown Road, Kansas City, MO 64149.
