Marilyn Sue Kirk passed away Thursday, January 3, 2008 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City.
She was the loving wife of Whitson J. Kirk Jr. for 45 years and mother of Ann Kirk Hobert (wife of Ben Hobert) and Whitson John Kirk III (husband of Melissa Kirk). Sue also adored her two grandchildren, Hannah Christine Hobert and Henry Walter Hobert.
Sue was the sister of Alan Thomas Richeson (married to Lillian Richeson) and William Dexter Richeson (married to Jilleen Richeson). She was predeceased by her parents William V. and Ina L. Richeson.
Sue retired from teaching elementary school in 1994 after teaching for 35 years. Sue was known for her creative teaching of gifted and talented children, which earned her numerous awards for nutrition education.
Sue was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
