Margaret Ann Craig, 85, passed away February 6, 2025. Memorial services will be held at 10:00am on Monday, February 17, at Deerbrook Covenant Church, Lee’s Summit. The inurnment will follow at 1:00pm at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Dementia Society of America at Donate | Dementia Society of America®
Margaret was born on August 22, 1939, in Kansas City, Missouri to Lawrence and Anna (Termini) Daleo. She was a graduate of Glennon High School in Kansas City. She married the late Vince Giambalvo in 1958 and was a stay-at-home mother to their four children, Marianne, Diane, Terrie, and John. Margaret later married the late Richard Craig, with whom she had her youngest daughter, Stephanie.
Margaret was a hard worker and a hobbyist; she loved crocheting, knitting, diamond painting and decorating, and was very well known at local craft shows. She was a wonderful baker and also enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach. More than anything, she was all about family.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Sam Daleo. She is survived by her five children and their spouses: Marianne Howze (Al), Diane Cummings (Rob), Terrie Peterson (Bob), John Giambalvo (Andrea), and Stephanie Craig (Bill Wagner); grandchildren and spouses: Ashlee (Olen) Brattin, Lindsey (John) Ivey, Carley (Anthony) Roberts, Angela (Matt) Habermehl, Maggie (Ben) Cato, Kelsie (Brandon) Fell, Chase (Daria) Peterson, Anthony Giambalvo, and Jenna Giambalvo; 22 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; a brother, George Daleo (wife, Cheryl); a sister-in-law, Shirley Daleo; one niece and three nephews.
