Lucille D. (Reed) Crane of Kansas City, MO passed away on October 15th, 2016 at the age of 87.
Lucille was loved by all who knew her, and she enjoyed spending time with her family and her pets. She was born in Presque Isle, Maine and moved all over the United States as an Air Force wife before moving to Kansas City in 1971. Lucille enjoyed traveling and most recently traveled to Hawaii and Canada.
She worked for the first female Senator as a maid before working as a biscuit maker for Hardee’s for 32 years until the age of 85. She remained active in her later years, attending Royals games, NASCAR, and NHRA races. She also continued to drive even in the weeks prior to her passing. She enjoyed to cook and made sure no one went hungry.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, MSgt Marvin L. Crane, USAF, Retired. She is survived by her daughter, Karen and son, Roy; as well as, a granddaughter and three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 21st from 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm, service at 8:30 pm, at Longview Funeral Home, 12700 S. Raytown Rd, KCMO. Inurnment will be on Saturday, October 22nd in Love Mound Cemetery in El Dorado Springs, MO. Flowers and/or donations to Truman Medical Center Charitable Foundation.
