Lois Imogene Hendershot Pitts, 72, Blue Springs, MO, passed away on Nov 22, 2013 at her home.
Lois was preceded in death by her father and mother, Alec Rankin and Emma Belle Noland Hendershot, her daughter, Sandra Mae, and her sister, Lynda Closser. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, William T. Pitts, Jr, her daughters: Carol Baker (Barry) of Aurora, CO, Irene Gautney (Mike) of Joplin, MO, Ilene Jones (Jeff) of Platte City, MO, Billie Jean Montecalvo (Matt) of Mogadore, OH, her sister, Marilyn Eudaly (Ron) of Arlington, TX, her brother Alec Hendershot, Jr (Doris) of Lewes, DE, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, a loving step-mother and many good friends.
Lois was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and Red Hat Society. She was also a lifelong member of First Christian Church of Blue Springs.
Visitation will be held at First Christian Church of Blue Springs on Tues, Nov. 26, 7pm-9pm with 2pm funeral services on Wed, Nov 27, at the same location. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to the First Christian Church of Blue Springs (Church address: 701 NW 15th St, Blue Springs, MO 64015).
