Logan James Young

Logan Young, 28, of Kansas City, MO, died on his motorcycle on August 10^th, 2023. A fourth generation “tree man,” Logan was a Kansas-certified arborist. He was an expert climber and had a gift for pruning and shaping a tree to perfection. He was employed by Cartwright Tree Care in Grandview, MO.

His passions were hunting, fishing, and anything with wheels that moved fast. His pride and joy was his son, Elijah. Logan’s infectious smile and beautiful eyes could light up a room, and he loved meeting people, making new friends, gatherings around a bonfire, and hanging with his dog Kegger. He was generous to a fault and a profoundly loyal friend.

He is survived by his parents, Tom, and Judi Young; son Elijah; Allison Murray, the mother of his son; brother and sister-in-law, Tyler and Hannah Young, and their sons Owen and Connor; dozens of cousins, including his dearest friend, Matthew Newton; a passel of aunts and uncles; and many beloved friends.

 A celebration of life will be held for family and friends on Saturday, August 19^th, at Lake Jacomo-Shelter House 9, from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.
