Leo G. Andrews of Archie, MO passed away on October 17, 2016 in Kansas City, MO.
Leo was born on September 30, 1927 to Roy and Alice Andrews in Salem, Nebraska. He served in the US Army as a medic and was discharged as a Sgt. He married Delores Covalt, who preceded him in death. He was a proud father to Donna and Laura. He was the proud owner of Commercial Radio Monitoring Company for the duration of his career. He was an avid fisherman and Royals fan; he enjoyed camping with his cousins and traveling with his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother; his sister; and his wife. He is survived by his daughters: Donna (Douglas) Poncelow and Laura McVay; his grandchildren: Sonia (Tim) Cheatham, Andrea (Joe) Moore, Jeremy (Amanda) McVay, Melinda “Mindy” (Ben) McVay, Scott (Gloria) McVay, and Michael McVay; and great-grandchildren: Timmy Cheatham, Tommy Cheatham, Meghan Allen, Olivia McVay, Tyler Moore, Allison “Alli” Moore and Season Taylor; and a nephew, several cousins, and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 22nd at 2:00 pm, with a visitation one hour prior at Longview Funeral Home, 12700 S Raytown Rd, Kansas City, MO 64149. Interment will follow in Longview Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to American Heart Association.
