Kevin Inness

Kevin Merle Inness, 56, passed away December 23rd at Olathe Medical Center. He was the youngest of 13 grown children from a combined family of 4 marriages. To Kevin, they were all his brothers and sisters, be they Wrights, Kings, or Innesses. During his life, Kevin worked many jobs, considering himself a Jack of All Trades. He met Kathy, his wife of 32 years, at Ol’ Winking-Eyed Sam’s, and had his only surviving daughter Heather while a driver at AAA Uniform. He worked for many other companies over the years, finishing his working career with the YMCA.

Kevin’s remaining siblings are Pat Wright, Mike King, Lynn Hopkins, Cheryl Inness, Beverly King, Darrel Inness, and Vicky Failor. He had several beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends. He was an avid Star Trek and DC Comics fan, loved Anime, and loved collecting things. His prized possession was his 7 year AA coin. He was working on his third ponytail donation for Locks of Love.

Kevin and Kathy had many pets over the years of all types and species. While he had always said he disliked cats, he turned into a crazy cat person later in life. He just couldn’t hide his tender heart from them.

A Celebration of Life party is TBA. The family is requesting donations to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in his name. To everyone who knew Kevin, Live Long and Prosper.
