Kenneth S. Larson, 82, of Warsaw, MO passed away peacefully on April 19, 2017, surrounded by his family.
Ken was born to Harold and Dorothy Larson on November 15, 1934 in Kansas City, Missouri. Ken married Jean Spencer in 1955 in Warrensburg, MO. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved dogs, primarily Labradors, and leaves behind his beloved, Beau. He was an avid outdoorsman, which led to spending his retirement years at his Lake of the Ozarks home. He was an exceptional woodworking craftsman and “Master of the Pit”. If you knew Ken, you knew he had a great sense of humor, which will be missed by all.
Ken is preceded in death by his son, Lawrence Larson. Ken is survived by his wife, Jean; his children: Clifford (Anita) Larson, Catherine Larson, Rebecca (William Thomas) Keegan; grandchildren: Jessica (Kyle) Barrett, Kyle Larson, Michelle Larson, Alison (Patrick) Brown, Emily (Jesse) Gibson, Joe (Tiffany) Keegan, John Keegan, and Jim Keegan; great-grandchildren: Cohen Barrett, Landry Barrett, Micah Keegan, Tristan & Graham Keegan; and his brother, Harold Larson.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 22nd at 2:00 pm, with visitation one hour prior to services at Longview Funeral Home, 12700 S Raytown Rd, Kansas City, MO 64149. Inurnment will follow in Longview Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
