Keith Anderson Visser, 58, of Independence, Missouri, passed away on November 22, 2017 at home.
Keith was born December 4, 1959 in Milo, Missouri to Leroy and Evelyn Visser, and raised in Davenport, Iowa. After graduating high school, he followed the same career path as his mother by going into the Printing industry. He then moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1985, which led to meeting the love of his life, Carmen, in November 1986 while attending a church service. Keith and Carmen married May 16, 1987, which led to becoming a dad to Sonia and later in March 1990, his son, Jeff was born. Keith took pride in improving his home and working on projects. He enjoyed riding his bike, working on his lawn, and fighting the moles. Keith also enjoyed watching the Royals and Chiefs games, Nascar, and birdwatching, usually while drinking a Coke. One thing he will be remembered for is the time he spent and enjoyed with his grandchildren, which included playing outside, watching movies, eating gummy worms and popcorn, and water gun fights. He enjoyed eating Carmen’s cooking so much that he even learned how to cook Mexican food and hummus. He enjoyed the time with his wife in the Cayman Islands. His kids could always count on him to help when they needed and his random and unrelated pieces of knowledge. Keith will be forever missed by his family who love him dearly.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Carmen; his daughter, Sonia (Marcos) Hernandez; his son, Jeff (Farzaana) Visser; his grandchildren: CJ (15), Adriana (8), and Marcos (5); his siblings: Eileen Duncan, Wade (Melissa) Visser, Bruce (Kathy) Visser, and Ruth Ann (Paul) McAllister; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A visitation will be held on Tues, November 28th from 6:00 – 9:00 pm at Longview Funeral Home & Cemetery, 12700 S Raytown Rd, Kansas City, MO 64149. Funeral services will be held at Heartland Church, 400 SW Lake Village Blvd, Blue Springs, MO 64013 on Wed, November 29th, 2017 at 12:00 pm, with a luncheon to follow. Interment will be on Wed, Nov 29th at 2:30 pm at Longview Cemetery.
