Judith Blake

February 22, 1940 — February 25, 2021

Judith Ann Blake, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home on February 25, 2021 due to complications from Parkinson’s Disease.

Judy was a blonde bombshell with a heart of gold and an infectious smile.  A graduate of Ruskin High School, Judy went on to help run the family business, Faulkner’s Western Store in Kansas City for 30 years with her parents and siblings. When she was not at the store, she could be found shining at the American Royal on her horse, Miss Pepper X.  Her greatest joy began later though when she married the love of her life, Woody Blake, and gave birth to their daughter, Kelly Jo. She was a devoted mom, sister, aunt, friend, and Grandmama.  Slow to anger, quick to forgive, and always sure to tell you she loved you. Her legacy will continue in the loving family she created.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vearl “Bud” and Mary Elizabeth Faulkner, brother Richard “Dick” Faulkner, sister Marilyn Jo Nauman and she is reunited in Heaven with her husband, Woodford “Woody” Blake.

She is survived and deeply missed by her Daughter, Kelly Jo Jordan (Ben), Granddaughter McCartney Jordan, Brother, Bob Faulkner (Marilyn, children Matt and Christine); beloved niece who she loved as a daughter, Lisa (Faulkner) Gosselin (Michael, children Zack and Spencer); nephew and niece, Michael and Cindy Nauman. Step-grandchildren, Krissie Blake-Ament and Johnny Blake, and many nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, family, and friends.
