Johnnie E. Adams, 76, of Grandview, Missouri, passed away on December 23, 2017.
Johnnie was born March 8, 1941 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Johnnie and Ruby Adams. Johnnie married Barbara Fondo and they were married for 33 years before her passing in 1995. He served in the US Army and National Guard. Most of his career was spent working for Bendix/Allied Signal, where he helped develop new technologies until his retirement. Johnnie had a love for music and throughout his life played in several bands.
Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Barbara; and his sister, Laverne Watson. He is survived by his sons: Johnnie F. Adams and Ronnie J. Adams; his grandson, Johnnie F. Adams, Jr.; his sisters: Caroline Patillo and Susan Elaine Wade; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Longview Funeral Home, 12700 S Raytown Rd, Kansas City, MO 64149 on Friday, December 29th at 12:00 pm, with a visitation one hour prior to service. Memorial donations are suggested to American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
