Joan Turner, born on September 4, 1933, in Concordia, Kansas, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2025, in Independence, Missouri. She lived a full and loving life, known for her kindness and godly spirit.
Joan was married to her husband, Roy Turner, for 66 wonderful years. Together, they raised their family, which includes their son Michael Turner, and daughters Cathy Turner and Beth Fuehring (Kevin). Joan was especially proud of her role as a grandmother to Amee Snyder (Brian) and Katherine Weatherman (Chris), and a great-grandmother to Ezzra Weatherman, Milez Weatherman, Bentley Weatherman, Levi Weatherman, Tryndamere Snyder, Lincoln Weatherman, Rhys Weatherman, Finnian Snyder, and Iris Weatherman.
Throughout her life, Joan had many joys, from sewing to spending time playing jacks and pickup sticks with her children when they were young. She took great pride in teaching children about God during children's church, cherishing the opportunity to share her faith.
Joan is survived by her loving family, her brother William J. George (Peggy), Sister Jeannie Barber and many other loving friends and family. She rejoins her parents, William and Lola George, and her brothers, David, Theodore, and James Larry George, who have preceded her in death.
