Jimmie Groh

Jimmie Price Groh , 90, of Kansas City MO, passed away on August 21, 2020.

A Celebration of Life service and burial will be held at 2pm, Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Longview Funeral Home, Kansas City, MO.  Family and friends are invited to join the Groh family at Longview Lake shelter #10 for a potluck picnic where we will celebrate and honor our dad/Grandpa.

Jim was born in Kansas City on February 18, 1930.  He graduated from Ruskin High School and continued on to receive a degree in Accounting from CMSU in Warrensburg, MO.

Jim was married to Gail Susan Temme on June 16, 1956 for 64 years. They met in Hackensack, NJ while Jim was serving in the Navy. He enjoyed cooking and worked in the food service the majority of his career and retired with Venture Stores, Inc. He was also active in the Jr. Jaycee's of Grandview Missouri and the Longview YMCA Indian Guides. After retiring Jim assisted his wife Susan with her business Unique Expressions.  Jim and Susan lived at Foxwood Assisted Living at the time of his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents Eloise and Gene Bower, half-sister Sandy Thornton, sons Doug and Matt Groh.  He is survived by his wife Susan Temme Groh, sons David and Fred (Jennifer), half-brothers John (Shirley) and Fred Bower, grandchildren, Brandon (Risa) Groh, Shelby (Lauren) Groh, Kendra (Kyle) Pryor, Shayla Groh, Nathan Groh. great-grandchildren: Ariel, Zoey, Ellie, Jackson, Brooklyn, Olivia, and Makenna.
