Jean Portwood

Florence (Jean) Portwood, 76, Raytown, Missouri passed away peacefully on December 2nd, 2021.  Jean was born on February 20, 1945 in Norman, Oklahoma to her loving parents. Jean and her husband   Frank Portwood eventually moved to Raytown to raise their family.   The love of her life passed away on Thanksgiving Day in 1993 and her life after his passing would always leave a tremendous hole in her heart.  Jean spent many years at House of Lloyd in Grandview, Missouri.  After leaving House of Lloyd, she would finish her working career at Beta Sigma Phi as a data entry supervisor and retired from there in 2017.  Jean was a sister of International Alpha for many years until she retired.  Jean loved to bowl and square dance with her late husband.  When she wasn’t spending time with her family you could find her at Ameristar trying her luck at the slot machines.  Jean was preceded by her Parents, 4 siblings and her husband Frank Portwood.  She is survived by her son Bob Portwood of the home,  her daughter Monica Grote and two grandchildren Justin and Stephanie Grote. Jean was loved and will be missed by her family and friends.
