Janelle Phillips-Daughtry
June 6, 1949 – January 25, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Janelle Phillips-Daughtry on January 25, 2025, at home, surrounded by love. Janelle was 75 years old and is survived by her loving partner of 18 years, Robert (Bob) Wilden Jr.
Born in Springfield, Missouri, on June 6, 1949, Janelle was the daughter of Mary Jean and Esley Trantham. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and her sister, Erica Trantham. Janelle had been widowed twice but remained resilient and full of grace throughout her life.
Janelle spent much of her career as an insurance specialist, retiring in 2007. Her dedication to her work was only matched by her love for the simpler pleasures in life, including her beloved cats, a good book on her Kindle, and a warm cup of coffee while watching her favorite TV shows.
An active and grateful member of Alcoholics Anonymous, Janelle touched the lives of many with her quiet strength, her gentle nature, and her unwavering smile. She approached life with a soft-spoken kindness, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Janelle will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were lucky enough to know her. A life well-lived, full of love, gratitude, and peace, she leaves behind a legacy of compassion and resilience.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to your local humane society, in honor of Janelle’s deep love for animals.
Rest in peace, Janelle. You will always be in our hearts.
