Isaac Dunteman, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend to many, passed away on Saturday July 13th, 2024. Isaac was the life of the party; whether it was teaching his sons to make fire dragons with brake cleaner, sharing his musical and artistic talents with his daughters, or breaking up the monotony of a church service with an electric guitar lead, there was never a dull moment.
Isaac grew up in the countryside of central Kentucky, where he put his artistic talents to work in the sign industry, and met the love of his life, Bethany. An avid musician, Isaac inherited the electric guitar side of his father’s musical talents; learning guitar well before the age of 10 and going on to play in venues and churches all over Kentucky. Over the years Isaac and Bethany grew their crew to three girls and two boys, each one carrying a unique piece of Isaac’s fire, spirit, and artistic streak.
After relocating to Kansas City, Missouri, Isaac started a small business providing mechanic services, primarily to the missionary community in Grandview. Over the years he continued to build the business and a reputation for honest, fair, and reliable service.
He is survived by his wife Bethany and their five children, Lilli, Norah, Zoë, Zane and Benji.
A visitation will be held on Friday July 19th, 5pm to 8pm at Grace Point Baptist Church in Kansas City. The funeral will be Saturday July 20th at 10am, also held at Grace Point Baptist Church.
