Ingeborg “Inge” (Kiesel) Richardson, 91, of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away Oct. 19, 2017 at Village Hospice.
Inge was born June 29, 1926 in Frankfurt, Germany. She graduated from Business High School and worked in an engineering office. Later she worked as an interpreter at the US Army base in Frankfurt where she met her future husband, Burton Richardson. They married Nov. 25, 1947 in North Carolina and moved to Lee’s Summit in 1961. In 1950, Inge's parents came from Germany to live with the family until she had a house built for them in mid-1960 in her mother's home town in Germany. Inge and Burton were active members of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Lee’s Summit.
Inge is preceded in death by her mother, Katharina Kiesel; her father, Johann Kiesel; and her husband, Burton W. Richardson. Survivors include her son, Eric and wife, Diana; daughter, Sylvia and husband, Sumner Gary; son, Bruce and ex-wife, Heather; son, Hans and wife, Kristina; daughter, Cecilia and wife, Denise; six grandchildren: Tristan and Rachel Hunnewell, Megan and Connor Richardson, and Evan and Gavin Richardson; and many other family and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 24th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, at Longview Funeral Home, 12700 S. Raytown Rd, Kansas City, MO 64149. A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 25th at 10:00 am at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 615 SE Todd George Pkwy, Lee’s Summit, MO 64063. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
