Harry L. Hancock age 89, resident of Belton, MO, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2008 in Raymore, MO.
Harry was born March 27, 1919 to Otis and Susie Hancock in Chilhowee, MO. He was a WWII Navy Veteran where he served 3 years in the South Pacific aboard the USS Wichita. Harry worked for Pitman Manufacturing of Grandview, MO for 23 years. Memberships include: lifetime membership of the VFW Post # 8100, he was a Mason and belonged to Grand River Lodge 276 in Cleveland, MO. He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy of 64 years; daughter Cindy Panek of Grandview, MO; 2 grandchildren Renee Purvis and husband Chad, and Jeff Barker and wife Jen; one great-granddaughter Jenna and 1 great-granddaughter due at the end of May, Karli.
