Harold L. Osborn, 85, of Grandview, MO died at the Kansas City Hospice House on Friday, June 9, 2017. He was born in Austin, Missouri on March 14, 1932 to the late William and Bessie (Shawgo) Osborn.
Harold proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict, he retired as a Master Mechanic from DeCarlo Construction, previously he worked at Byers Crushed Rock. He was a Life Member of the VFW Post 8220 in Belton. He loved his family and being outdoors, his children remember camping and taking trips to the lake when they were younger.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Betty (Ogden) Osborn; daughters; Vickie (Randy) Maynard, Donetta Campbell, Jessica (Shane) Dunkin, and Genell (Dennis Straub) Norbury; step-children Teddy (Debbie) Nuss, Connie (Michael) McCormick and Shawn (Mindy) Ingrassia; 21 Grandchildren, 31 Great-Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren and 13 Step-Grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Dale (Ruthie) Osborn and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, Harold is preceded in death by his first wife Gayle (Worley) Osborn who died in 1989; 6 brothers, 4 sisters, 3 sons, 1 daughter and 1 granddaughter.
Visitation, will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2017, from 12-2 PM; Funeral Service will be Wednesday at 2 PM all at Longview Funeral Home & Cemetery 12700 S Raytown Rd, Kansas City, MO.
