Miss. Greta Roath

Greta Louise Roath was born September 7, 1951 in Kansas City, Ks. to the union of Charles and Mary (Pearson) Roath. Service will be held 11am Friday, Sept. 24 at Cleveland Ave Baptist Church, 2853 Cleveland, KC, MO., with burial immediately following at Longview Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 10-11am at the church.
She was reared by her mother and stepfather, Mary and Rev. Joseph Primer. Greta complete 12 years of school and furthered her education by receiving a certificate of Business from Penn Valley Community College. LPN License from Dickerson School of Nursing, and an Associate in Health Care Administration from Longview College.
Greta united with Canaan Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. R.B. Poe.
She was employed for 26 years at Children's Mercy Hospital, and for several years she took the Sickle Cell children to camp every year. She worked until her health failed. She had previously worked for Neevel Mfg and Superior Toy and Novelty.
Greta was united in marriage to Dale Randall, that marriage was dissolved.
Greta was preceded in death by her grandmother Alberta Busby, father Charles Roath Sr., mother and stepfather Mary Primer and Rev. Joseph Primer and brother Charles Roath Jr.
The book of life closed for Greta Roath Saturday, September 16, 2010 at the home.
She leaves to cherish her memories, one son, David Randall (Carrie Dilworth), one daughter, Stacilanae Randall (Steven Johnson). Four sisters, Carmen (Michael) Wagner, Marsha Primer-White (John Bradford), Jo-Ann Primer and Terri Primer (Eugene) Rozell. One uncle, Charles (Bobbie) Pearson, 11 grandchildren, one granddaughter Ashley Randall who lived in the home. Her family at Children's Mercy Hospital and a host of relatives and friends.
