Glen Curtis Cooper Jr., age 76, returned to his heavenly home on July 26, 2018. He is a veteran of the Vietnam War.
Glen is survived by his wife, Bettilee; his daughter Angela (Rick); his sons Glen (Arleeta) and Bryan; his grandchildren Skyler (Abey), Daniel, Keenan, Tahnee (Bailey), and Lindsey; and his sisters Pam, Jacque, and Debbie. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Glen was born on July 11, 1942 in Oklahoma City, OK, to parents Salome and Glen Curtis Cooper Sr. He joined the Navy Reserve and enjoyed his position where his duty on a submarine took him to South America. He then served in the Marine Corps until 1969. He met his wife, Bettilee, while serving in the Marine Corps. They married on December 15, 1967 and the couple had three children together.
After his years in the military, he began his career at New York Life and Prudential Insurance. He then proceeded with his career in the government and retired from the IRS in 2010.
Glen adored spending time with his family. He would make frequent visits to see his grandpuppies, Bentley, Cali, and Paisley. He always made a point to get season passes to the KC Zoo. He also enjoyed fishing on his boat, camping, and golfing. His most recent joy was his BMW motorcycle.
His firm belief in God supported him in his many struggles and ultimately gave him peace. Without a doubt, we know that he is currently experiencing his true reward.
The family would like to thank friends and family for the prayers. We would also like to thank Kansas City Hospice House for providing exceptional care during a difficult time.
