Gerald ?Joe? Brinker, age 57, resident of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away suddenly of a brain aneurysm, Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at St. Luke?s Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri.
Joe was born October 17, 1950 in Axtell, Kansas to parents Gerald and Audrey (Mason) Brinker. Joe was a member of the Knights of Columbus O?Hara Council, longtime member of Coronation of Our Lady Church, Grandview, MO and active in many ministries. He retired from Honeywell after 22 years of service. After retirement he continued to work as a part-time faculty member at Metropolitan Community College-Longview. He loved teaching and sharing his knowledge on various subjects with others, was a ?Jack of all trades? and willing to help anyone. Joe had a warm smile, and always a kind word to say to everyone, there was not a person he met who did not consider him a friend.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents Gerald and Audrey Brinker. Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years Patricia of the home, brothers William Brinker and wife Rosie of Shawnee, KS, John Brinker and wife Karen of Leawood, KS, their children Matt, Andy, David and Daniel Brinker; Mother-In-Law Dorothy Lamborn of Lee?s Summit, MO; Sisters-In-Law Jane Sandmeyer of Overland Park, KS, Joyce Patton and husband Bob of Columbia, MO and Julie Patrick and husband Bernie of Wichita, KS and their children Daniel, Chase, Samuel, Joel, Alison, Leslie and Jill.
