Elmer Louis Frerking, 94, of Buckner, MO passed away on October 19, 2016 at St. Mary’s Manor in Blue Springs, MO.
Elmer was born on August 22, 1922 in Emma, Missouri. He farmed early in his life with his father, then moved to the city where he became a truck driver for George J. Shaw for over 40 years. He married Maryln Howard on August 26, 1950. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going out on his boat on Lake Taneycomo.
He is preceded in death by his wife and his brother. Elmer is survived by his son, Stephen (Linda) Frerking; his grandchildren: Sam (Tiffany) Frerking, Kevin (Shelly) Frerking, and Lisa (Chris) West; great-grandchildren: Kendra West, Rayden Frerking, Trenton West, Riley Frerking, and Tehya Frerking; and his nephews, Anthony (Lettie) Loveland and Jimmy (Jessica) Loveland; and his great-nieces: Karissa, Marissa, and Adriana.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, Oct 24th at 11:00 am, with visitation one hour prior at Longview Funeral Home, 12700 S Raytown Rd, Kansas City, MO. Interment will follow in Longview Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of your choice in Elmer’s name.
