Dorothy "Dot" Bauer

Dorothy L. “Dot” Bauer, 70, passed away January 13, 2020 at John Knox Care Center.  Visitation will be 5-7pm Friday, January 17, at Longview Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be 10:30am Monday, January 20 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Dot was born on February 12, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri to J. G. and Frances (Hyder) Cochran.  She was a graduate of Paseo High School and worked as a medical technician for various doctor’s offices.  Dot became a resident of John Knox Village in 2006 due to complications with Multiple Sclerosis.  She loved the staff at John Knox dearly and she will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Dot was preceded in death by her daughter, Nicole Bauer; her father, J.G. Cochran; and her grandmother, Mae Hyder.  She is survived by her mother, Frances Cochran; son, Brett Bauer; brother Dale Cochran and his wife, Pat; sister, Lyn Cochran; and nephews, nieces, and cousins.
