The Lord called Donna June Tyler home on October 31, 2022, after a long, complicated battle with various health issues.
Donna was born in Kansas City, MO to Lois and Don Ray as the older of two daughters. All through life, Donna was known as an avid animal lover and never met a puppy or kitten she didn't love. She was part of the Girl Scouts where she went on some exciting adventures with her sister, Karla, and their mother, Lois, who grand marshalled the parade as their Troop Leader. Donna always had a heart for the underdog and was a protector of things less fortunate. As a young girl, she punched a boy in the nose for picking on her friend who was blind. With one hand, Donna was willing to fight for what she thought was right and with the other hand she'd offer help to those who were in need.
Donna graduated from Raytown South High School and shortly after got a job with her father at Preston Refrigeration where she worked for close to 20 years. After giving birth to two rowdy boys, Darrell Jr. and Dwight, she was a loving mother and was the true definition of "Momma Bear". Along with Donna's biological children, she adopted many "fur-babies" along the way. Jack, Sally, Little Bit, Teddy, and Bingo just to name a few. After leaving Preston and semi-retiring she moved to the lake with the love of her life, Timothy Tyler, where she focused on being a Grandma to her seven loving grandchildren. They hunted mushrooms in Mushroom Cove, rode trails on their four-wheelers and made "yard art" together with their friends. Donna loved the lake and described it as her "Happy Place". We trust today that our Lord has provided a new and better "Happy Place" and that Donna and Tim will be reunited in eternal bliss
Donna was preceded in death by her parents Don and Lois Ray, her loving husband, Timothy Tyler, and her "fur-babies", Jack and Sally.
She is survived by her sister Karla MacRae (Dale); her two sons Darrell Osgood Jr. (Lori) and Dwight Osgood (Heather); and her seven grandchildren, Liz, Jacob, Rachel, Katelyne, Judah, AhMonie, and Levi.
The Family wishes to thank Villa Ventura Retirement Community for their exceptional care, and overwhelming kindness they showed during Donna's last days.
