Deanna Marie Cox (Wagar), 74

Deanna, resident of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on April 21st, 2019 at John Knox Village Care Center in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

Deanna was born October 1, 1944 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio to Dean Wagar and Isabel (Brown) Wagar.

Deanna was preceeded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sons and their significant others: Bobby and Lisa Cox, Dean Cox and Bryan McQueen, and Brian and Sheri Cox; grandchildren: Nicole Ellis (Mark), Trey Cox, Lily Cox, Isaac Cox, Sarah Rose Cox, and Ruthie Cox; great grandchildren: Eleanor and Eeva Ellis; brother, Larry Dean Wagar; nephew, Matthew Rogers; and dear friend, Nancy Cox.

Deanna was a stay at home while her kids were young and then an office manager until she retired.

Deanna loved her family, the Lord, all animals, and giving generous gifts to the people she loved. She enjoyed doing yard work, gardening, wildflowers, crafting, baking, being a grammy, and watching crime shows on TV. Deanna was a wonderful mom, neighbor, and friend.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 11:30 am, with a visitation beginning at 10:30 am, all at Longview Funeral Home, 12700 SE Raytown Rd, Kansas City, MO 64149. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wayside Waifs in Kansas City, Missouri.
