Remembering Chris is to remember the legacy he leaves and the impact he had on so many people’s lives. Chris was born in 1989 to Cindy and Ron Guerra in Kansas City, MO.
Chris graduated from Raymore-Peculiar High School in 2007. During this time, he was a beloved team manager for the football team who went on to win their third championship that year. In 2023, the 2003-2006 Ray-Pec Panthers were inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame where the victories and his contributions to the team will forever be enshrined. He continued his education at the University of Central Missouri where he produced a talk show called “Campus Chatter.” He worked diligently towards his sports broadcasting degree which he proudly earned in 2018.
Chris was a kindhearted man whose smile and laughter could leave an impact on anyone lucky enough to know him.
Whether it was talking to his family and friends, watching Chief’s Football, or playing one of the many video games he enjoyed, Chris had an undeniable passion for the things and the people he cared about. He could tell you sports facts spanning decades, anything you needed to know about the newest movies, and he never forgot a song lyric.
Chris began a new journey on January 25th, 2024, where he went to walk with Lord. He will be remembered as a beloved son, brother, Grandson, and so much more. He is survived by Parents Ron and Cindy Guerra, and sister Kaci Guerra-Beavers.
Visitation will be held from 10-11am on Wednesday, January 31st with services to follow at 11am, all at Longview Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Longview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family of Chris has decided to donate to the Make a Wish foundation in his honor. Make a Wish worked with them to give Chris the amazing experience of attending the 2008 NFL Pro Bowl in Hawaii where he was able to meet amazing people and had the once in a lifetime opportunity to throw a pass to Tony Gonzalas. If you wish to join them in this endeavor, you may do so by going to Make-A-Wish America (wish.org).
