Cheryl Smith

Cheryl J. Smith, 74, of Archie, Missouri, passed away November 6, 2021. Funeral services will be at 2:00pm on Friday, November 12 at Longview Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 1pm. Burial will follow in Longview Cemetery.

Cheryl was born on July 28, 1947, in Kansas City, Missouri to Millard and Louella (Deaton) McBay. She enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, being at home spending time with her family, and was an amazing painter. She also was a Den Mother for her boys as they grew up. She was a radio junkie and loved winning prizes on all the stations. Cheryl was very easy to talk to and she was everyone’s friend, she never met a stranger.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents and Husband William Smith. She is survived by her daughter Melissa Cochran, Sons Joel Brett McBay and Billy Smith; three step- children; two Brothers Marvin (Connie) McBay, and Garry McBay as well as many grandchildren; and great- grandchildren.
