Carol L. Smock, of Raytown, Mo., passed peacefully Saturday at the home. She was welcomed to heaven by her husband, Bob (Robert N. ), her daughter, Kelly Holder, her parents, Jack (Leo J.) and Martha Ellen Morgan, her brother Jackie Morgan, and her sister Sandra Green. Carol was born on September 13, 1935 in Nevada, Mo. She was a lifelong resident of Kansas City. She graduated from Paseo High School and received technical training at Kansas City Business College. She worked for years in the insurance industry for Reliance and General Casualty Insurance Companies. After retiring, Carol devoted her love and time to her family and church, the Blue Ridge Bible Church. Whether making a chocolate pie, crocheting an afghan, or making someone's birthday memorable, Carol was always giving her love to someone. She is survived by her son and his wife, Dan and Kim Smock of Liberty, her stepson and wife, Darrell and Jo Smock of Toledo OH., her sister, Patty Shields of Independence, her brother, Steve Morgan, grandchildren and their spouses, Melanie and Damon Devasher, John and Stephanie Holder, Brandon and Hollie Holder, Brian and Michelle Smock, Kevin Smock, Jack and Makenna Smock, and great grandchildren Damon, Dylan, and Morgan Devasher, Jaxon and Clayton Holder, and Devon Cassidy and Jacob Smock.
