Carl John Andela
Carl John Andela, 82, of Grandview Missouri, died Sunday morning November 18, 2012. Carl was born on January 29, 1930 in Rock Valley, Iowa to John Andela and Adriana Haverhals. In 1950 he married the love o f his life Georgia Ann Mouw. This past October 31 they celebrated 62 years of marriage. He served 11 years in the Air Force including the Korean war, and received an Honorable Discharge in 1962 when they settled in Grandview to raise their family. Carl is survived by his wife Georgia of the home; children Gerard Jay Andela of Lee's Summit and Carla Tays of Belton; a sister Therissa TeSlaa of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and a brother Pete Andela of Forsyth, Missouri; Grandchildren Ashley Tays of Belton and Meghan Andela and Madison Andela of Lee's Summit . He was preceded in death by his parents and a sibling, Seibert Andela.
Visitation will be held at the D.W. Newcomer's Longview Funeral Home at 12700 S. Raytown Road, Kansas City, Mo. 64149 on Tuesday November 20th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Services will be held on Wednesday November 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grandview United Methodist Church, 12613 Grandview Rd, Grandview, Mo. 64030.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, 1100 Pennsylvania Ave., Kansas City, MO. 64105.
