Candy Magness, 70, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends in the early morning Saturday, January 14, 2017.
Candy was born October 19, 1946 in St. John's Newfoundland, Canada to her mother Catherine Walsh-Dengler. She was a very loving and caring soul. It was absolutely nothing for Candy to create Baby Gift Baskets, Flower arrangements or any special gifts (like her breads and cookies) for her loved ones, their families or even strangers.
Candy had several different jobs throughout her life, but her most memorable by far was the 25 years she spent as a receptionist for American Catastrophe.
She was preceded in death by her husband Reece Magness, her mother Catherine Walsh-Dengler, her sister, Laura Dengler, her brother Rodger Dengler, Jr. and most precious of all her granddaughter Shelby K. Pennington.
She is survived by her loving daughter Stacey Schultz, her favorite son-in-law, Tim Schultz and the apple of her eye ... her grandson Dustyn Schultz, plus numerous friends and family here and throughout Canada. Oh and how could we forget her favorite fur-babies, Bella Boo and Toby O'Brien Schultz.
Visitation will be held to honor and celebrate Candy's life from 11am to Noon on Thursday, January 19th at Longview Funeral Home and Cemetery with service at 12:00 pm and burial to follow.
