Brenda Southall

Brenda Sue Southall, 69, passed away on January 7, 2020.

Brenda was born on August 26, 1950 in Fairplain, West Virginia to Ova and Ona (Williams) Anderson. In 1968, she graduated from Ripley High School in Ripley, WV. She later began working for AT&T and through them was transferred to locations in Ohio, Indiana, and Kansas City, MO. She retired from her position as a call center supervisor with AT&T after 31 years. Soon after she began working for CVS/Caremark and retired after 12 years. Brenda was always an incredibly hard worker and took great pride in caring for her family. Though small in stature, Brenda always exhibited a strong confident and fiesty attitude. She enjoyed shopping, eating, and spending time with the family dogs. Her faith in the Lord was also a very important part of her life.

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents and will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her children; Charles Southall, Natalie Southall, Kamara Scott, and Nartarsha "Tasha" Scott; grandchildren; Benjamin Southall, Connor Southall, DeLarue Scott, Jalen "Jutave" Griffin, Na'Jayla Hacker, Kamara Scott Jr and Niko Doss; siblings, Janet  Houghton, Orville Anderson, Juanita Adakins, Barbara Gandee, Linda Justice, James Anderson and Sherman Sharp Jr.; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at Longview Funeral Home and Cemetery on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at 11:00am, with visitation beginning at 10 AM and burial immediately following.
