Bobby L. Pasley

December 11, 1938 — March 21, 2025

Grandview

Bobby Lewis Pasley, 86, of Grandview, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2025.

Bob was born on December 11, 1938, in Osceola, Missouri, to Therman and Oneita Pasley. Much of his childhood was spent in the care of his grandparents, John D. and Opal Kiefer, who played a special role in shaping the man he became.

A graduate of Central High School’s class of 1956, Bob went on to serve his country in the United States Navy. While stationed in Connecticut, fate brought him together with Ruth Ann—a young woman visiting her sister—who would become the love of his life. They were married for 62 and a half years, building a life filled with deep love and unwavering commitment to their family.

In July 1962, Bob and Ruth Ann settled in Grandview, where they raised their three children. Though Ruth Ann had recently transitioned to a skilled nursing facility, their bond remained strong, and Bob continued living in their family home until his passing.

Bob was a self-taught, hard-working man with a strong sense of responsibility and grit. He ran his own business, Pasley & Son Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, and worked for many years as a crane operator. He was also a proud member of the Local 101 Operating Engineers Union. If someone needed help, Bob was the first to show up—tools in hand, ready to lend his expertise and get the job done, never expecting anything in return.

Of all his roles in life, Bob was most proud of being a devoted husband and a guiding presence for his children and grandchildren. His quiet pride in his family was evident in everything he did.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth Ann Pasley; his children, Anita (Scott) Wiechmann, John Pasley, and Angela (Andrew) Faron; grandchildren Melissa Pasley, Nate (Melissa) Wiechmann, Sadie (Davis) Morgan, Rebecca Pasley (Matt Jerram), and Jordan Wiechmann; and seven great-grandchildren. He will always be remembered for his quiet strength, tireless work ethic and the countless ways he showed up for those he loved.

The family will host a celebration of life in Bob’s honor on Saturday, May 3 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Meet Me on Main, 515 Main St., Belton, MO 64012.
